Snorkeling in Koh Ma Area, Koh Phangan Eco Tour

The Koh Phangan “Eco Nature” tour included snorkeling near Koh Ma, just like the Boat Trip. As graduates of the Boat Trip, we were rather disappointed to find out, that we were going to participate in the same activity we had already experienced. We forgot that in Koh Phangan nothing is boring and nothing is ever the same.

The “Eco Tour” snorkeling was completely different from the “Boat Trip”. Instead of hoping into the sea from the board, we were expected to swim from Koh Phangan to neighboring Koh Ma, accompanied by the guide’s brother. Notice that it’s not as impressive as one can imagine: the distance from Koh Phangan to Koh Ma is about 1 km, and the water isn’t deep enough to drown a hamster. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable, since we were able to explore the coral reef and the tropical fish.

Take my advice: back home, avoid sharing any information about sea depth and the distance from Koh Phangan to Koh Ma. Just tell them that during your vacation you swam from one Thai island to another. You will become their hero, guaranteed.
