The Bottle Beach - Koh Phangan Boat Trip

After stopping and refreshing at the waterfall, our boat departed back to sea, towards the next stop. It turned out that our next stop was the Bottle Beach (I really wish I knew, who is responsible for these funny names… I bet he loves alcohol…). By the way, the Bottle Beach is considered to be a popular trekking area. The common trek leaves from the western end of Chaloklum, and continues towards the Bottle Beach via the Haad Khom beach.

Our guide announced a free hour, and we all rushed to the Beach’s restaurant (I could swear that the restaurant’s owner was the guide’s best friend). I was fond of this restaurant, because all the waiters were cute (luckily, my mom compulsively photographed everyone), and the food was great. My mom ordered a very special dish: seafood stuffed in a bowl made of fresh pineapple.

Unfortunately, at that time I still haven’t eaten any seafood (I overcame my anti shrimp fixation when we visited “Saras Kitchen and literally stuffed ourselves with fresh shrimps), but my watermelon shake wasn’t bad at all.

After the meal, my mom decided to “explore” the surrounding “local villages”, that were later revealed as standard resorts.

I futilely tried to convince her to give up her idea of walking through the stream of lazy tourists in their hammocks… So I have been waiting to her while sitting on the beach. I wasn’t bored at all, because the scenery was extraordinary beautiful. The astonishing turquoise sea merged itself into the golden sand bars, whereas the huge green mountains swam in the infinite ocean of the pale blue clouds. When exploring the sand in detail, I found out that it’s made of billions of tiny pieces of shells…
